I was living in England when I heard of the death of Diana. I was never really a big fan of Diana to be honest but I was as shocked as anyone by her untimely death. What I remember most about Diana’s death is the week that followed. It was quite a surreal week where everyone seemed to be in a daze and not quite themselves. It was an event that really did affect the whole nation.

I was taking a random trip to visit some friends in Denver, Colorado (at the time I lived in Maine, U.S.). We had just watched a great baseball game and the memory of whether the Rockies won or not was overshadowed by our follow-up visit to the pub. Everyone was in good spirits, however the mood quickly went sour around the entire bar (about 100 people+) and some people started crying, others were gasping and on every big screen TV in the sports pub was the horrible accident and news story of beautiful Princess Diana’s tragic death.
