I remember watching a movie on TV (can’t remember the movie), 9 years old at the time, and suddenly they stopped the movie for an important message. The news-coverage took about 30 minutes before the movie continued.

As a 10-year-old it was pretty boring to watch, but my parents came rushing in to watch the news so I pretty much had to. Obviously it was a very sad situation which still seems not entirely resolved.
